Chinese President is to pay state visits to Papua New Guinea, Brunei, and the Philippines from Nov. 15 to 21, and will attend the (APEC) leaders' meeting from November 17 to 18 at Papua New Guinea's capital city of Port Moresby.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang made the announcement on November 12.
During Xi's stay in Papua New Guinea, he will also meet with leaders from the Pacific Island countries which have diplomatic ties with China.
Xi was invited to pay the visits by Governor-General of Papua New Guinea Bob Dadae, Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O'Neill, Brunei's Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah and Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. He was invited to attend the APEC meeting by Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O'Neill.
